About Hometuary
Hometuary publishes plant care profiles, home styling guides and seasonal ideas to help you make your home feel like a sanctuary.
Hometuary started from a simple idea: the place you live — inside and out — should feel like a sanctuary. We publish guides for people who want their homes to be calmer, greener and more comfortable, whether you are keeping your first houseplant alive or repainting a north-facing room for the third time.
What we cover
- Plant care guides. Detailed profiles of houseplants, succulents, shrubs and trees. Each one follows the same structure — light, water, soil, feeding, pruning, propagation, containers, pests and diseases — so plants are easy to compare.
- Home & living. Practical advice on paint colours and undertones, rug sizes, layered lighting, furniture for small spaces and kitchen organisation.
- Life & celebrations. Seasonal decorating — especially Christmas — plus party planning, gift ideas and activities to share with family and friends.
How we work
Our guides are written and edited by the Hometuary editorial team. We draw on horticultural references, manufacturer information and established design principles, and where a guide relies on outside research we list the sources at the end of the article. We revisit guides when advice changes or when readers point out something that needs correcting. You can read more in our editorial policy.
